Vintage Poster -FRENCH RAIL- MAJORQUE 1920s.

What a gorgeous original lithographic poster for the French Railroad. C.1920. The cherry blossom artwork is superb. Lovely colors. Size: 25" x 39". This is a dramatic poster that will add a wonderful touch to the appropriate room. Condition is good overall. There are a few small spots of paper loss on the edge, but not on the image. 60 hour 21j Bunn Special pocket watch

Yellow gold-filled 16 size railroad open face pocket watch by Illinois, serial number 4850538, circa 1928. Double sunk porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals, minute markers and subsidiary constant seconds register with a hairline from the hole and one very small chip at the lever. Yellow gold filled Bunn Special 29 case with nice etching work on the bezel and back edge. 60 hour Bunn Special movement with 21 jewels, 8 adjustments (heat, cold and 6 positions)motor barrel and double roller in good working condition.   


Railroad Oil Lamps (2) adams westlake wall sconces

I think these are adams westlake cast lamp holders and they obviously fit their fonts well. In our opinion, because the fonts, font holders and related safety features like the Smoke Bell and the Chimney Collar among the brackets and springs and The rest, we used what we could and replaced what we had to. I think we are real close and would love to see your old photos of these remarkable, romantic old lamps.    


17 jewel Official RR Standard Ball pocket watch

Yellow gold filled open face railroad pocket watch made for Ball by Hamilton, circa 1908. Porcelain single-sunk dial with some crazing, black Arabic numerals, minute marker, subsidiary constant seconds register with the full Ball Official RR Standard signature. Yellow gold-filled Crescent hinged back, curvette and bezel plain polished case. 17 jewel movement with gold jewel settings adjusted and fully signed by Ball made by Hamilton in working condition, serial number B535334.

Pair Old RR Car Candle Lamps. 2 double sconces

A great pair of antique railroad wall double candle sconces. These lights and others like them likely once hung on the walls of some passenger car back in the early days the Railroad.These candle lamps made perfect night lights for passengers on a train, trying to sleep as steel wheels grab and pull over the iron tracks....DIMENSIONS: lamps measure 15 inches tall and a little under 12 wide. The glass chimneys are in excellent condition. The brass frames show some light bumps & bruises from normal wear and tear, but they still look great. Candles rest on top of a spring, which can probably be adjusted, but Im not sure how.Just like they did a hundred years ago, these old railroad sconces burn with a warm, soothing glow.    


1883: 4 items of the Cincinatti Washington and Baltimore RR Co.

1883. 4 certificates, 6 Common Stocks, 1 preferred, all different, all signed by Orland Smith, the president of the company. Nice lot for a bargain price. Very fine condition   


Rand McNallys Pioneer Atlas of the American West

Contains repros of maps & indexes from 1876. Has full page railroad maps & travel literature. 1956, 21" wide x 15" tall, hard cover. Some states included are Wyoming, Arizona, Utah, Montana, etc. Very good condition.   


The Value of a Railroad Security by Floyd Mundy, A.B.

Softcover First Edition published in 1922 by the American Institure of Finance. The author was a member of the Chicago Stock Exchange. Partner, James H. Oliphant & Company, Member of the NY Stock Exchange. Nice clean copy, 60 pages.
