PLEASE HELPI bought this from a lady who had a Trading Post. She told me it came from her Grandfathers estate. She was part Choctaw\Cherokee. It is old and sealed with a piece of wood tacked on the back. The color theme is sepia and I was able to identify the image as "The Horse Fair" Can someone give me an idea of its value as I have no clue. Thank You! Submit your estimate of worth |

Hi Roberta, It appears you have a reprint of the famous oil on canvas painting entitled, \\\"The Horse Fair\\\" painted between 1853–55 by Rosa Bonheur (French, 1822–1899). The original oil painting hangs in The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City: http://www.metmuseum.org/collection/the-collection-online/search/435702 Here's a link to a similar print that was appraised by The Antiques Roadshow in 2012: I'm not going to guess as the value of your print. I think you might want to get a more professional appraisal completed. I hope this information helps. |
