I found the Hallmark and info on the Wilcox Silver Company: Wilcox Silver plate Co Meriden, CT organized in 1865 by Jedediah and Horace Wilcox. Wilcox Silver Plate Co. (William Erik Voss) Founded in 1865, with Jedediah and Horace Wilcox, Charles Parker, Aaron Collins, Hezekiah Miller as the primary partners, as the Wilcox Britannia Company in Meriden CT. The name was changed in 1867. It was later one of the founding companies of International Silver in 1898. The company plant was closed in 1941 due to the war metal shortage. After the war, its house designs were made by other International factories, but the company as a seperate entity was not revived. In 1961, various divisions were consolidated and its name was changed to Webster-Wilcox. The word “quadruple” which appears on the hallmark was not used after 1900. So the piece must be older than 1900. - Possible as old as 1989 or older because Wilcox became part of the International Silver Company in 1989. In 1898 Wilcox became part of the International Silver Company. Many smaller companies banded together to form the International Silver Co. After 1900 most of the smaller company names ceased to be. Did they have lighting mechanisms in the late 1800’s? My hallmark is located on the bottom rim not bottom middle as in this piece. But it appears to be the same hallmark. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/313281717802284045/
